Proposal: We plan to integrate a seamless, secure, HIPAA compliant online patient registration system that automatically verifies insurance and allows for the physician to electronically refer the patient to another provider.

Patient Registration Process – After making an appointment, the patient would be sent to a secure site that would allow them to fill out all applicable information including current medications, insurance and any other pertinent information needed by the physician. Upon completion, the information could be integrated into PracticeFusion. All of this can be done before the patient’s scheduled appointment from the comfort of their home.

Insurance Verification – Before the patient arrives, the physician or office manager can easily verify the patient’s insurance coverage via an insurance verification feature. Once the patient submits their form, the physician can then verify the patient’s insurance coverage.

Patient Referral – Should the provider need to refer them to another physician or specialist, they could do so via the patient referral feature, which allows them to electronically refer the patient and any pertinent documents over a secure network.

All of this will be done on a secure network similar to the network used by the banking industry. All of these systems are currently available to physicians at our company’s site, www.registerpatient.com, which has registered more than 30,000 patients to date.
